UCC was founded in 2008, based on the initiative of the Government of Georgia and the National Bank, as a single center for retail payments. The initial idea was to create a single central platform that would simplify the receipt and processing of all types of retail payments from various payment channels. Today, UCC is one of the main infrastructural pillars of the country's payment ecosystem.
